Join for an edible conversation between farm, chef, vineyard and community! 

Chef Cathy McKnight returns to the Ecology Center for a farm-to-table feast in honor of the Fall Equinox. Lucky guests will enjoy an all-inclusive multi-course dinner complete with wine pairings curated by sommelier Chiara Shannon of Mindful Wine for a truly spectacular evening under the stars. Together we will savor the bounty of harvest, sip the best wines from local organic vineyards, and celebrate!

CHEF CATHY MCKNIGHT  “The  community that TEC has nurtured and grown is filled with possibility  for a changed food system in our local area and beyond.”  As a  chef, small farm advocate, cooking instructor, menu consultant, and  serial entrepreneur, Chef Cathy McKnight embodies The Ecology Center’s  ethos to cultivate a regenerative food culture. Her commitment to  cooking with abundant love and respect for the earth is matched by her  unique ability to connect chefs and farmers in the effort to reach a  larger community. A collaborator with The Ecology Center since its  beginning, Chef Cathy is a champion of seasonal local food and the  farmers who grow it. From her multiple catering businesses to her  appearances on the Food Network, Chef Cathy is driven by a passion to  change the food system “one plate at a time.”  Cathy's new project is "Kitchen415" - Menus and Mayhem designed to disrupt & change a broken food system.


Located in San Juan Capistrano,  CA, The Ecology Center is a non-profit organization that educates, inspires, and involves people in the stewardship of Southern California's environment through hands-on, practical solutions in the areas of Food, Water, Shelter, Waste, and Energy.  The Ecology Center is founded on the principle that individuals can make a difference. They encourage visitors to "be part of the solution!"​ and join the community.  As a non-profit, their community of members not only serves as ecological ambassadors to their communities, but membership also provides support funding for the good work they are doing in Orange County and the surrounding areas. 

Community Table at the Ecology Center is a beloved event series bringing renowned chefs to the farm to design an ecological meal around four seasonal rotations (market garden, milpa, berries, cover  crops). By bringing these culinary artists back to the source, they are given an opportunity to connect with new ingredients, find fresh  inspiration in our bioregion's historic foodways, and discover the  rewards of relationship with the land.
